Terms of Use for Kiddobooko

These terms of use ("Terms") govern your use of the Kiddobooko mobile application ("App") provided by Kiddobooko AS ("we", "us", or "our"). By using our App, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our App.
1. Introduction These Terms were last updated on July 18, 2024.
2. Use of the App
2.1. The Kiddobooko app is intended for use by children and their families. If you are under 13 years old, you must have permission from your parent or guardian to use the App.
2.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
3. User-Generated Content
3.1. Our App allows users to create and share content such as stories and characters ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content to deliver and improve our services.
3.2. You agree that you will not create or share any User Content that is inappropriate for children or violates the rights of others.
3.3. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate for our App.
4. Children's Safety
4.1. We are committed to providing a safe environment for children. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children's use of the App and discuss online safety with them.
4.2. We implement various measures to protect children's privacy and safety.
5. Intellectual Property and Content Control
5.1. The App and all content created in it, including User Content, becomes the property of Kiddobooko AS.
5.2. As a user, you retain the right to be recognized as the creator of your User Content, but you grant Kiddobooko AS extensive rights to use the content.
6. Termination We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by law, Kiddobooko AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.
8. Changes to Terms We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
9.1. These Terms shall primarily be governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian law.
9.2. For users outside Norway, these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the user's country of residence, to the extent required by local laws and regulations.
